    2. When I enable both authentication (Windows and FBA) on default zone following error is occurred.
"Your client does not support opening this list with Windows Explorer."
Web client service is running on server.
Desktop Experience feature is also enabled on server
Windows explorer is working fine when FBA is disbled on default zone.
When I disable / Unchecked FBA from Default Zone, windows explorer working fine.
But I need to enable both on same default zone.

    3. From your question, it is by design. There are two protocols for explorer view: WebDAV and RPRPC. The first one can’t work with SSL site, the second one can.

For the detailed information, check out the following article:

    4. Thanks for Reply Amol,

      I have one more query,

I have one web application contains two zones Default & Extranet,

Windows Auth enabled on default zone
      FBA enabled on Extranet zone.

when I search FBA users in Default zone site in people picker its not working means FBA users are not working on Default zone,

Scenario is, default zone is for internal users only when a internal user want to assign any task to external user / vendor he cant.

    5. Which authentication provider you are using for FBA?

also, Did you make the proper changes inside web.config?

    6. If you enable both the providers (FBA and NTLM) on the default zone (NTLM) in Central Administration then SharePoint can resolve and add the users to the security groups or site administrators collection. But this changes the user’s login experience. Now the user has to choose which authentication mechanism he wants to use.

This is not always acceptable as it confuses the business users. The workaround for this is to modify the login page and redirect the user to the login page that you prefer (FBA/NTLM)

let me know in case of any queries, thanks

    1. Thank Amol!!

I am having trusted site zone issue with open with explorer and is using IE9.

      I did all the steps:
      webclient is started
      clear browser
add the site to trusted zone
      use ie 32
But still the issue is not being resolved. We have sp2010

I hope this hotfix works for IE 9 or downgrade to ie 8

    2. few suggestions

      - Reset the IE (IE-> tools-> IE options-.> advanced -> Reset

      if this doesn't work then

Try to run the site in "Compatibility mode" make sure the protected mode is off.

if this doesn't work then go for this: IE->advanced ->Security section -> uncheck publisher certificate revocation

let me know the results, Thank you
