Microsoft Office Web Apps is a web-based version of Microsoft Office productivity suite. It includes the web-based versions of Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, Microsoft PowerPoint, and Microsoft OneNote.
I have installed office web apps, used it for sometime and to make some R&D-I had deactivated. After deactivating, i had faced the below mentioned problem:
Word Web App cannot open this document due to an unknown error. If Problem persist, try opening the file in Microsoft Word.
Did some troubleshooting and abl to resolve the issue without any problems.
Resolution Steps:
- Ensure Office Web Apps is deactivated.
- Ensure that Open Documents in Client Applications by Default has been activated.
